Revitalization of selected specific areas of brownfields

This diploma thesis focuses on the issues concerning one specific agricultural and two industrial brownfields. The theoretical part defines the concept of a brownfield, its categorization, causes of occurrence, consequences of the existence of brownfields, the revitalization of brownfields, available financial resources for their re-use and also the involvement of brownfields in the process of spatial planning. In the analytical part, the former industrial complex Tesla, the former agricultural complex Grana and the former industrial premises of Jitex are thoroughly discussed. Each brownfield is described from the historical point of view and with respect to its state at the present time. A feasible way of revitalization is proposed for each brownfield. One of these three proposals is then selected as the best one for implementation and is analysed in detail with respect to its financial difficulty and the possibility of using public resources.

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to elaborate simplified documentation for building permit of new agricultural building a cowshed. This is achieved on a real, existing plot of land, using general principles of projecting this kind of buildings. It is crucial to work and cooperate with map sources, to make technical documentation, draw up project layouts, act in compliance with statutary instruments, execute local survey, and take account of another facts. First part of thesis is about historical development of agricultural building, while second part is following these findings and showing the actual way of making projects.
Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union

The diploma thesis gives an outline of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the European Union and the Czech Republic, a member state of the EU. The definitions provided include principles, objectives and the nature and function of the CAP. Individual subchapters contain summary of the reform which the agricultural policy must have gone through throughout its development; also the summary explains the system of how the EU is funding and have funded the CAP in the course of history and today. Further, the thesis dwells on analyzing the agricultural development in the Czech Republic before and after the CAP principles have been applied. The analysis focuses on the agricultural sector from the point of view of employment of labour, soil fund, and selected commodities. Next, the thesis describes the Rural Development Policy in the Czech Republic as outlined and implemented for the period between 2007-2013. The comparative analysis comprises selected products of livestock production carried out in the Czech Republic and in the EU. The last chapter analyzes commodities that include wine and grape-vine, and common agricultural organization of the European wine market, and the Czech wine market itself.
